The strategic crossing of Tarkalor's Road over the Chorms River lies on the border between the Palauss and Gahlani clans of the Kultain? tribe.

The Chorms river broadens here around a sandbank. The road has stone wheel tracks under the water which prevent carts from getting bogged down under normal conditions. The water usually is only two to three feet deep.

The ford is the site of a spectacular Yavor Lightning magic. When Tarkalor built the road, he had an altar erected for sacrifices to reenact Yavor's victory over Chorms and gain safe passage.
