<Oliver>

The Lighthouse is the most obvious remnant of the sea monsters Helamakt defeated to create the Tor that Whitewall? stands on. When building Whitewall, Sestarto the Artist found a huge spiral ivory horn of a giant sea monster embedded in the limestone. This horn was excavated and set up on the top of the plateau. Shallow steps were cut into the spiral and at the top a chamber was hollowed out and lined with mother of pearl. Windows of mica were installed as well and through the magic of the lining and windows a tiny oil lamp can be set which can produce an incredibly bright light. This lantern rotates through a cunning clock work mechanism that must be of Mostali manufacture. Unlike a maritime lighthouse this one is used to direct travellers to the citadel in the night time.

At the base of the tower is a wide, shallow bowl that collects rainwater. This functions as a shrine to Helemakt. Some say that you can see visions of the future in this pool.

<Joerg> This tower has to be holy to Lhankor Mhy - a lesser reflection of the Ivory Tower, shining with the Light of Truth! </Joerg>

<Ian Cooper> see my suggestion on Garan - could probably link this that Garan the star captain (and founder of the Garanvuli with Serias) may have been the 'little light' that protected Seriasdova?, and shone from the 'lighthouse' at Whitewall, much as Elmal shone from Kero Fin.
