The Yahoo-handle for Joerg Baumgartner (contact info at

Jorganos, youngest son of Vingkot, was famous for his archery.
Somehow I can identify with this Gloranthan character very well. I like the Orlanthi, especially ancient variations of the theme, and (field) archery is the only sport which I pursued up to competition level.
When John Hughes asked around for Whitewall information, he contacted Jeff Richard, Jane Williams and myself. We soon decided your name doesn't have to start with a J to participate here... :)
I'm extremely pleased how well the Wiki project turned out, and I hope to return to my work on the maps of the locale very soon.
I somehow ended up as the map designer, and left things in an early development stage when my course on GIS (in essence electronic map making and information systems) started. I'm waiting to harvest the fruits of that course when it gives me time to breathe freely again...
If you know a bit about GIS, I need to decide upon a Gloranthan reference frame for location data in order to keep the data reusable for other jobs I'm working on. No projection (that's where a flat world is a blessing), coordinates centered on Magasta's Pool, with a False Easting and False Northing of 4000 miles each to avoid negative coordinates. I need to know the exact distances Kero Fin - Tarpit - City of Wonders - Magasta's Pool in order to get going.
